Prairie Creek Reservoir is located 5 miles southeast of Muncie and features 750 acres of natural landscape with 3.3 miles of aquatic recreation. The park offers world-class amenities including sandy swimming beach with lifeguards seasonal camping with electric hookups RV facilities and modern cabin rentals. Activities include fishing for bass and catfish boating sailing paddleboarding hiking and biking trails wildlife viewing including eagles herons and beavers and seasonal events such as triathlons concerts and festivals. Multiple picnic areas with shelter rentals accommodate groups. The park is open year-round with expanded programming spring through fall.
